Ireland to continue search for natural gas

Ireland has recently stated that it will be reliant on natural gas as a key transition fuel as it journeys towards carbon neutrality.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, was clear that oil exploration will be phased out as it is incompatible with a low carbon future however, natural gas has a key role to play in the transition for some time.

Along with supporting the transition to carbon neutrality, natural gas was cited as an important part of ensuring energy security for Ireland.
